Podholic: DriveTribe podcast

Our podcast pick of the week features some famous faces … well, voices, in this context.

Founded by former BBC Top Gear presenters Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond, DriveTribe was conceived as a digital platform for all things automotive, including articles, photography and user-submitted content. The ‘Tribe’ part of the name refers to the diverse range of communities from ‘Save The Manual’ to ‘Saabotage’ - the latter, a photographic hideout for Saab tragics.

It’s this diversity that makes DriveTribe’s podcast some of the best listening you can blast from your headphones. Presented by Tim Roadie and regular’s Rachel Hogg and DriveTribe marketing director Lucy Brown; it’s a light-hearted, British-centric view on automotive news, reviews, events and features special guests like Shmee150 (Tim Burton) of YouTube influencer fame.

YouTuber’s aside, what you want to listen to is Tim and ‘Tribe’ founder James May in an amusing hour-long chat about aircraft escapades (yes, he is also a pilot) and his typically methodical yet sensible approach to everything plane, bike and boat-related. It is almost like listening to an episode of the Grand Tour, but without the cinematography. Check it out.
